Story #1. Tonight we were all at Costco together. Lucy and I were at the sample table about to sample some delicious Edamame when a lady came up and was oohing and ahhing over Lucy. I said, "Yeah, she is pretty cute." Then the lady said, "So, she is your sister??" I had to laugh. Nope. She is my youngest of three children! She couldn't believe it. The other lady who was serving the Edamame said, "She must have gotten an early start." They both agreed that I looked 16 and that when my kids were teenagers I would be so stressed that I would become all haggard looking. I know I look young but 16?? I mean, really!!
Story #2. I was putting my sister/daughter to bed tonight and said, "Lucy, do you want to give mama a good night kiss??" She said, "Nope." I said, "Lucy, do you want to tell mama you love me?" She said, "Nope." Pause. "Actually, I do. I love you, Mama." Actually. What a silly girl. :)
