Jackson's Days

I thought that for this blog I would give you just a little glimpse into the life of our very energetic, active, sweet, strong, athletic, heroic, tender hearted little guy, Jackson. The weather has been so nice lately that he is literally outside for 4-6 hours a day. He has many scrapes and scratches from his adventures. This all makes for a happy little four year old. Here are some snapshots of the past month in the life of Jackson.

If there is something that could possibly be climbed upon, he will conquer it.

Jackson loves seeing Lucy in the morning. It has been fun watching their relationship develop. She calls him "bubby."

Jackson has so much fun playing with his trains and cars. He makes up "stories" and can play like this for quite some time.

Jackson the cowboy. He put this on before we went to the park and was asking me if I thought everyone at the park would think he was a real cowboy.

Jackson is fascinated with bugs. I find them in my water bottle a lot. He thinks it is so funny. Me, not so much.

Jackson is a very courageous little boy and has such a "defender, protector, conqueror" spirit about him. Awesome. Jackson runs at the Slip-N-Slide with amazing gusto. We always think, "OHHH, that had to hurt." He just jumps up and does it again with a smile.

Note the kickboard and goggles with the slip-n-slide. Hilarious.

Jackson loves: exploring, gorilla munch cereal, playing "mean beast" with dad, the book "Everyone Poops," bugs, riding his scooter, riding his bike, being outside and filthy, playing with water, dogs, and honey-nut chex, sharing his beloved puppy with us when we are sick.

Jackson does not love: washing his hair, avocado, when Lucy interrupts one of his "stories," when daddy is gone on trips or on Crave days, waiting for his breakfast to be made, cleaning off his bumps and scrapes, wearing shirts.

AFTER he climbed to the top of the 7-8 ft wall that separates our yard from the very busy El Toro road for a trick for Brad and I, we told him to get down. He was extremely frustrated and said, "You don't think this is COOL?" No fear.
