From Carrie:
The thing I remember most about my dad from growing up is his friendship. He was really great at just hanging out. He would usually be waiting up for me when I got home from curfew just to hear about my night. I remember going outside and throwing the softball around for hours - or until I threw 100 strikes. We would frequently go outside and spend "quality time" with his truck. (That means we would wash it together. . .). He was and is a great friend. He has always had such a playful, fun, friendly spirit. He also passed on his amazing love for mission trips - taking care of sick and hurting people all over the world. This will always be a huge part of me!! If you've talked to my dad much, you know he also has about a hundred one-liners of wisdom. . ."Co-operate and graduate," "Don't follow a boy unless you have a ring on your finger," "Good looks are just part of the Quillin curse." I couldn't have asked for a better daddy. I love you. Happy Father's Day.
From Brad:
Some of the earliest memories I have of my Dad were of he and I snuggled up in a recliner watching football on Sundays together. My Dad has always had a very big calming affect on me. When it seemed my world was falling apart his calm gentle wise words always brought me back to the simple truths that hold things together (i.e. God can be trusted/he likes and loves us). I also remember very early on his love of coffee, ice cream and boiled eggs. It wasn't uncommon for him to eat 5 or 6 eggs in one sitting. :) Some of my best memories with my Dad were our fishing trips together. He was/is pretty bad at fishing but that didn't matter all that much to us. It was just good to be together. I am going to try and convince him to come deep sea fishing with me during his visit in July. My Dad's passion for family and marriage is amazing. His willing heart to ministry to hurting couples inspires me. I love my Dad SO much and know his love and influence will continue shaping my heart. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DAD!!!
From Olivia:
"I love my daddy because he is sweet. My dad is so strong and I love him. I love how he eats at the table like a gentleman. I love it when he makes our food for us. I love that he plays "mean beast" with me and I like that he plays "Guess Who" with me. I love my daddy's kind and gentle heart."
From Jackson:
"I love playing cars with my daddy. I love going on the airplane with my daddy. I love it when we get to go to the park with my daddy. I love to play games with him. "
From Lucy:
"Ah-da-da-da-da-da-da."
