Sweet Lucy Leigh

We've decided that it is time to make a post about our sweet Lucy. She is 3 1/2 months now and changing so much. So, this post is all about our Lucy Leigh. Here are 20 little fun facts you may or may not know about Miss Lucy.

1. The name Lucy is the feminine form of Luke. It means "Light."

2. Leigh is a family name. Lucy's mama's middle name is Leigh, and Lucy's Gramma Nancy's middle name is also Leigh. Leigh means "Meadow."

3. Lucy is in the 50% for weight among babies her age. She is in the 75% for length among babies her age.

4. Her nicknames are "Lu" or "LuLu." She does not enjoy being called "Luce."

5. She loves to be talked to. She speaks when spoken to.

6. She learned to roll over this week. She rolled from her tummy to her back on Friday and has since rolled over about 48 times.

7. She giggles a lot.

8. She is very ticklish.

9. She likes to chew on her fingers and suck on her fist.

10. She does not particularly enjoy riding in the car. . .especially when there are little passengers riding next to her.

11. She uses a pacifier at naptime and bedtime.

12. She usually eats 7-8 times a day.

13. We change her diaper about 7 times a day.

14. She is already attached to the pink bunny that Jackson gave her for Christmas. It is just like his favorite blue puppy. He always runs in the other room to get the pink bunny out of her bed to bring it to her.

15. Lucy is usually fussy everyday between about 6 and 7:15pm.

16. Lucy takes a bath every day and loves it. She kicks and kicks and splashes.

17. Lucy sleeps on her side. We rotate the sides so that the bald spots from where she has been sleeping are even.

18. The back of her hair is a pretty impressive swirl.

19. She loves to ride in her mama's sling.

20. She could not be a sweeter, happier, more content baby. WE LOVE HER SO MUCH!!
